Bays & Beaches
Where to swim on Premuda
Three beaches you can walk to from the village, and a coastline of quiet coves reachable only by boat. Clear water, bright sandy floors and space to yourself — here's where to find it.
Village beaches
The three beaches around Premuda village are reachable on foot — no boat needed.
Zad crikve
The beach behind the church — one of the island's most popular swimming spots, right in the village and easily reached on foot.
Na parapetu
At the parapet, close to Krijal harbour. A favourite gathering spot for islanders and a simple entry point into clear water.
Nova plaža
The new beach of Premuda — a little quieter, a pleasant place to swim away from the bustle of the village.
The bays
Premuda's coast is folded into quiet coves, several of which hide smaller bays within them — perfect for a day in the water.
Dobra
The southernmost bay on the island — wide, quiet and reachable only by boat. Depending on the wind direction the water lies perfectly flat; it is best sheltered from the south wind. Anchor, swim, drift.

A remote bay reachable only by boat — and well worth the trip. A wide, bright sandy seabed makes Kalpić one of the island's finest spots for diving and snorkelling: crystal-clear water, and if you look carefully you might even find the odd mussel or shell. Because of its remoteness, storm debris can wash up here too.

View pageAfter winter and spring storms the sea washes debris into the bays. The beaches near the village are regularly cleaned by local residents — the more remote coves are maintained almost entirely by volunteer boaters, and sometimes by school classes staying at the house who take on a cleanup as a group project. We'd love it if you grabbed a rubbish bag on your way out and did your bit for clean bays.
